Inspiration

Headers for this site are in Jost, a modernization of Futura. Futura was designed by Paul Renner and released by Bauersche Gießerei 1927, aligned with the intellectual ideals of the Bauhaus movement. Futura was selected by NASA and used in the Apollo 11 mission for commemorating labels, manuals, mission patches, uniforms, and more. It is extensively used in Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey and The Shining. Futura Condensed Extra Black characterizes Nike's Just Do It campaign, and Futura is the primary sans-serif typeface of Louis Vuitton.

Body text is in EB Garamond, an open-source modification of Garamond, created by French type designer Claude Garamont in the mid 16th century. It is inspired by Roman inscriptions, Carolingian minuscule, and early Renaissance manuscripts. Apple Garamond was the primary typeface for Apple Computers from 1984 through 2001, most well-known as the font in Apple's Think Different campaign. Adobe Garamond is the font used for the body text of all 7 Harry Potter books.

The background takes inspiration from isometric dot paper, typically used for technical drafting, architecture, and geometry.
